Willow House & Oaken House

Project Overview

This site is located to the north of Chichester within Summersdale. The original house sat within a large plot and was single storey. Our brief was to obtain planning permission to replace the existing house with two new detached houses. The design carefully considered the character of the street scene to ensure that the proposed mass and scale was in-keeping. Willow House is similar in style to the adjacent house (Northwood – a previous SSP project). A bronze framed glass pavilion with green sedum roof to the rear adds the wow factor. Oaken House has New England influences, with a natural muted colour palette and oak framed rear to suit the semi-rural location. Construction has started, with both houses using timber framed construction to aid sustainability. PV panels and Air Source Heat Pumps add to the green credentials.
