Biodiversity Net Gain

Introduction

From January 2024 Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is set to be part of the decision-making process when it comes to development. Smith Simmons and Partners are here to help advise land managers and developers on the best approach and options when it comes to your land.

Article

Biodiversity Net Gain is a way of creating and improving natural habitats.  From January 2024 when building new housing, industrial or commercial developments by law developers in England will be required to deliver 10% net positive for the local environment, for example by creating new habitats and green spaces. Detail on the updated timetable can be found here.

For a better understanding how this impacts you as a developer and/or land manager get in touch with our Land team at land@ss-p.co.uk and we can schedule a call with you to discuss.
